Carys is a currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) under Rob Buckland, Carl Raven and international visiting tutor, Tim McAllister. Carys played with the Derbyshire City and Youth Orchestra under the batons of Perter Stark and Mark Heron. Alongside orcestral repertoire Carys is passionate about chamber music and is the Soprano player of the Arcus Saxophone Quartet, an established ensemble that studied at the RNCM under the tutelage of the Award-Winning Apollo Saxophone Quartet. Carys is also one half of the Kairos Saxophone and Percussion Duo, a new and exciting musical partnership with BBC Young Musician Finalist Tom Hall. During her time at RNCM Carys has performed with a variety of larger ensembles including the RNCM Session Orchestra, Brand-New Orchestra, Wind Orchestra ns the ArkEnsemble where they recently performed at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham. Carys is an established freelance function musician and has performed at events across the UK and internationally, recently working in Portugal and Switzerland.
