Charles was born in Quetta, India [now Pakistan] in 1914 as his father was stationed there at the time.
He had seen much front-line service in India, Iraq, Syria, Palestine and Egypt since being commissioned in 1940. His battalion moved to Italy in October 1943 during which time he was awarded an immediate MC and a copy of the original citation, approved by General Harold Alexander, GoC 15th Army Group, is included below.
Charles went on to play a major part in the crossing of the River Garigliano in January 1944 during which he was killed in action. He is also one of three OWs to lie in this cemetery.
Son of Charles Alexander Burleigh Robson1 & Alice Helena Robson of Finchampstead, Berkshire.

Charles is also one of three OWs to lie in Minturno War Cemetery, Italy.
