The retro shack is the shop established by Wrekin pupils in 2018 under the guidance of Andy Hurd, after they secured a grant from the local council at the High Street Challenge. Like many businesses, the shop has been adversely affected by the pandemic and the various lockdown restrictions it has necessitated. However it has risen to meet the challenge thanks to Freddie Hudson (B. 2018-20), who was recruited by Donna Irving, Head of Business, to take the lead on running the shop this year.
Despite the difficult circumstances Freddie has worked to increase sales by seizing the opportunity to sell online, setting up a store via depop which you can see here.
New items are listed each day so keep an eye out if you are in the market for some new authentic vintage pieces!
