Hoylake Dinner 2026: A Wonderful Evening at Royal Liverpool Golf Club

Saturday 31st October saw the fantastic sell-out Hoylake Dinner 2026 take place at the prestigious Royal Liverpool Golf Club, bringing together more than 85 guests for a memorable day and evening.

The celebrations began with a round of golf on this magnificent course, with guests enjoying some spirited competition alongside beautiful autumn sunshine; the perfect start to the day.

The evening celebrations began with a champagne reception, followed by a delicious three-course dinner, accompanied by wine and coffee.

We were delighted to welcome the Rt. Hon. Sir Desmond Swayne MP (Staff 1982–87) as our guest speaker. Sir Desmond entertained guests with a selection of amusing and memorable stories from his time teaching at Wrekin. We also welcomed Wrekin's new Headmaster, Mr Steve Green, who shared reflections on his first 50 days as part of the Wrekin community.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, filled with great company, conversation and fond memories of Wrekin.
