ALEXANDER ARENARE
Born in 1998, Alexander Mario Arenare began piano lessons at
the age of five, studying with a variety of tutors across the
Dudley area. Most notably, Alexander studied with Dorothy
Randles, who prepared him for conservatoire. Under her
tutorage, Alexander was awarded the Fred Southhall
prize, placed runner-up in the Sonata class at the
Birmingham Piano Festival and gained the letter-
bearing DipABRSM performance diploma.
Currently a student at Trinity College of Music,
Alexander studies under one of the UK’s most
in-demand teachers, Hilary Coates. Whilst under
Mrs Coates’ tutorage Alexander was a finalist
in the John Longmire piano competition 2018,
accompanied for the Cathleen Ferrier competition
2017 and achieved highest marks in his major
recital in 2018.
Prior to studying with Mrs Coates, Alexander studied
under Italian pianist Sergio De Simone, this introduced
him to the Italian school of piano, largely influencing
Alexander’s approach to piano technique and sound. Most
Recently, Alexander has been invited as a recitalist at the Old
Royal Naval College, Borough New Music Festival, St Alfege’s
Church and Tettenhall College.
