The winners of the 'Charity Pop-Up Market' initiative were announced at the beginning of summer term by esteemed judges, Anthony Lowe, former Mayor and Wellington Town Councillor, and Anthony Nichol, entrepreneur and owner of Anthony's Farm Shop.
The winners were:
FIRST: 'The Crepe Machine' - by Hugo, Alex and Anna
SECOND: 'Wrekin East' - by Max, Fergus, Sinead and Jayden
THIRD: 'Wrekin Print Farmer' - by Jake and Erin
Over £2000 was raised for charity, but it wasn't just revenue that the stalls were marked on. The quality of the business plan, the 'look' of the stall, team work, and the credibility of the stall as a viable business in the 'real world', all counted.
All three stalls will now go on to re-create their businesses in Wellington Market, in mid-June!
A huge well done to all our winners and to everyone who took part, this was a fantastic celebration of business and employability at Wrekin.
