The Bayley Mile was revived in 1996 by JIm Mostyn, who at the time was Wrekin's first Marketing Manager. Jim, working in partnership with Wellington Town Council, still coordinates the annual race which sees over 100 competitors running around the street of Wellington. Over the years Wrekin and Old Hall have been strong supporters of the event with pupils regularly winning individual medals in all age groups. This year was no exception and they were once again awarded the group trophy. Congratulations!

Having searched the archives we discovered a few photos and historic race results, but nothing prior to 2000 when Jo Lyons (C.99-01) won the Women's Open race and Matthew Jones (T.98-03) finished fourth in the Men's Open.

If you have any memories of running the race or indeed winning a medal we would be thrilled to hear from you!
