The Hoylake Dinner was held at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club on Friday 22nd November. There were nearly 90 people in attendance, unfortunately due to recent poor weather a few had fallen ill and were unable to attend.

The persistent drizzle did not dampen the spirits of those that were able to play a round of golf earlier that afternoon however. The competition was as fierce as ever, the runner up was Peter Cooke (T. 1972-77) whilst Fraser Smith (Y. 1981-86) was crowned champion this year.

In the evening, guests were welcomed with a drinks reception and starters on the hoof. This allowed people to mingle and established a great pre-dinner buzz. Guest of honour, Phil Berry said Grace and once guests had taken their seats they enjoyed an address from the main organiser, David Lewis, who thanked all for supporting the event.

The Headmaster, Tim Firth, updated all on the school and its recent activities before Dr Rodney Edrich took to the floor, giving a spirited address which compared the school in the 1970s to his most recent visit on Remembrance Sunday.

We would like to thank all those that attended and all those that sent their apologies, we hope you had an enjoyable evening. The following were in attendance:
