Terence Moore (N.1949-53)
27th December 1934 – 23rd December 2023

Terry was born in 1934 in West Kirby, Wirral. He attended Kingsmead School
Hoylake and in 1949 he came to Wrekin College as a boarder.
Terry’s interest in history was encouraged at Wrekin, and this interest, particularly in
military history, continued throughout his life.

Terry was a tenor in the chapel choir at Wrekin and here again, his love of music
continued throughout his life being a member of the choir at St. Cross Church,
Knutsford for over 40 years.

After school, Terry completed National Service in the Royal Signals at Catterick, near
Richmond, Yorkshire. He then joined the British American Tobacco Company and
subsequently, Imperial Tobacco where he was employed for the majority of his
working life.

Terry died after a short illness 4 days before his 89th birthday and he will be
remembered by all who knew him as a kind and true gentleman.
Terry was married for nearly 59 years and is survived by his wife Linda and their
children David and Caroline.
