It was lovely to see some OWs in December, through the magic medium of Zoom!

Having not seen those who would usually attend the regional lunches in London, Chester and Birmingham for some time, we suggested that it might be nice to gather online to catch up before the end of the year. Although this is no subsitute for the real thing, and certainly not everyone's cup of tea, it was lovely to gather together once more, to hear memories of their time at Wrekin and how they have been keeping busy through the lockdown periods.

We were also joined by Rob Maggs (B.1962-63) who attended Wrekin for one year as an English-Speaking Union scholar from Cranbrook School, Michigan. Whilst at Wrekin he met John Price (S.1959-63) who in turn gained an ESU scholarship and attended The Hill School, Pennsylvania, for one year. Rob went on to gain a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont California, and a Law Degree from the University of Illinois, he now lives in New York with his wife and he and John have kept in toiuch all of this time. It was great that they could both join us and certainly made clear that there is no longer an excuse not to keep m,ore in touch with OWs living abroad!

Those in attendance:

Brian James (b. 1951-56)
Brian Edwards (N. 19532-58)
Charles Jones (B. 1961-66)
Rod Rigby (B. 1953-57)
Tony Jones (Y. 1954-59)
Barrie Roberts (N. 1950-55)
Rob Maggs (B. 1962-63)
John Price (S. 1959-63) - not pictured, sadly!
