Here is a picture for the sports or 1970's section, and luckily this one has the names on the back. They help but are in my own bad writing so there may be some glitches, sorry. I was loose head prop and Brian Foster was tight head. He was as hard as nails, as were some others. I was not, couldn't run much, couldn't see much either, but the team effort made up for it. Although when I did a couple of seasons in a small club 12 years later in France they called me the “requin blanc” sometimes – but I fear it was only for my pale complexion and myopic look. Swimming is now more reasonable, and earlier this year in Martinique I participated in the French Open Master Championships, with three family members (wife, one son and one daughter). It was a fun holiday and although the first Covid case had been detected in Martinique we were luckily back to France 10 days before the “confinement” or lockdown began.
