'Career' is an interesting word. I'm one of those people who hasn't chosen a specific career trajectory. One could say I have taken an irregular, yet creative, path through life. Since leaving Wrekin I have been a Child Care officer, a mental health Occupational Therapist, an amateur musician, a meditation teacher, co-founder of a vegetarian restaurant, an artist, and a director of Manifest Arts (a successful Arts Festival in Manchester).
I'm currently focussing on writing autobiographical sketches. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has memories of the school rock band I was in called 'Bastille'. We did one performance in 1979 in the Centenary Centre. Other members of the band included Dave Shenton (T) on drums and Shardad Behrouzi (T) on bass. One boy in the audience fainted and Michael Ormerod (T) singed his hair with his home-made onstage pyrotechnic special effects. Sadly I don't think anyone took photographs.
