Shaunte joined the team after being called up from the EmergingTalent Centre (ETC) U16s squad. Following impressive performances during trial  training sessions she was signed to the Women’s team to continue her development.

Tom Peevor (Shrewsbury Town Women’s manager) comments:

“We have been keeping track of how our under 16s have been progressing. We had seen the qualities Shaunte has in training and thought it would be good to see her in the first team environment. One of her biggest strengths is her attitude to embracing new challenges. We have been really impressed by this at every training session.”

“Shaunte has been working exceptionally hard at the Girls ETC since the start of the season within the U16s squad. Whilst her favoured position displays her natural defensive abilities; she has shown in recent weeks that she is resilient and adaptable whilst training with the Womens 1st Team. Shaunte has shown she is a versatile player, and is definitely deserving of the chance to explore what opportunities our Women’s and Girls pathway has to offer here at Shrewsbury Town, as the first U16 player this season to gain experience within our Women’s 1st team environment.”
