The Wrekin College Concert Band secured its fourth consecutive National Platinum Award and received a standing ovation, a rarity at NCBF. Platinum is the highest honour that can be given at the event, which attracts some of the best bands from across the UK. The Concert Band was also given a special award for the best programme of pieces. Meanwhile, the Jazz Band received a Gold award, and they performed magnificently. Both bands are a testament to the wealth of talent in our musical ensembles.
Well done to all concerned and thank you for your hard work.
