The ever-popular OW cricket vs the School took place in late June and after some early rain after the heatwave had abated, play got under way for both the 1sts and the 2nds. Once again, the Old Wrekinians showed the pupils how to do it, taking victories in both games and retaining the Michael de Weymarn trophy. That makes two out of two in 2026 with the Old Wrekinians retaining the David Winterton trophy for hockey and netball back in March. 

It was a superb day with a bar, DJ and pizza van with fun for all the family.
