After much anticipation, the Wrekin Pop-Up Market took place on the last day of Lent term.

The atmosphere was electric and our Memorial Hall was buzzing with pupils and staff who are thoroughly enjoying everything our stalls have to offer. It was the perfect way to celebrate 'Charities Day'.

From Crêpes to a Coconut Shy, there was something for everyone!

We want to commend all the pupils who dedicated so much time and energy into creating their stalls, it was wonderful to see all of their amazing ideas come to fruition.

The event was set up by the Business School team to offer Wrekin’s budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to put the theory into practice! Open to teams of four, from First Form to Upper Sixth, stalls were rented for £5 a pitch, all of which will be donated to charity.

The Winner Takes Wellington Market

As well as pizza for the winning House(s), there is an opportunity for the top six stalls to trade again in the Business School. The winning stall will also be invited to trade to the public at Wellington Market!

Judging was undertaken by Anthony Lowe, Wellington Town Councillor and Anthony Nicholls, local butcher and delicatessen business owner.
